Hello friends and family

Coming to you from arctic northwest Indiana, where we have more snow on the ground than I saw in the two years I lived in Illinois! The snow piles may not melt until April at this point!

It is that time of year---my annual appeal to support a fantastic non-profit in east Central Indiana (FUSE) doing some amazing work to support families of children with disabilities. FUSE empowers families and individuals with disabilities by providing information, training, support and encouragement. As with all nonprofits, the pandemic threw many challenges to FUSE. They had to find new ways to deliver services to a vulnerable population that was facing new challenges for their families. Unable to meet with families in person or host programs or events in public venues, FUSE changed it up and offered regular opportunities for individuals and families to connect virtually for training and support. Even during a pandemic, FUSE responded to nearly 200 requests for information and support, and over 1000 individuals attended training and educational events either live or via Zoom.

Limitations on in-person events last year means we need to step it up to support FUSE in 2021 to boost their fundraising efforts! As you know, this mission is personal to me. Our adult children benefitted greatly from the programs and services offered by FUSE when they were young. Now that FUSE has expanded its mission, our boys continue to benefit from new programing as they live independently and manage their adult lives.

* I personally support this organization and can attest that every dollar is dedicated to helping those in need.

*I HAVE JUST TWO WEEKS TO RAISE THE FUNDS since the event is on Feb. 26th!

* It is a non-profit which makes it tax deductible (if you are itemizing these days)
